4.Create props and decorate a stage for your performance.

5.Turn a campfire story into a play or skit.

6.Choose a character from a play or movie that you would like to portray. What is their personality like and why did you choose that character? For extra, act out a small part with that character.

7. Learn how to create a costume. You can create one on paper OR use clothing you already have and add embellishments OR make something from scratch using materials you have on hand.

8. Learn how to create a hairstyle that matches a character you are going to play or want to play OR watch someone create a hairstyle for a play. For extra, make an accessory to wear.

9. Choose one of the following genres to create a play or skit and share it in front of an audience. Genres: comedy, historical, mystery, western, musical, cultural, or a genre of your choice.

10. Take a tour behind the scenes of a theater show or meet some of the characters in the show.

11. Take a class in school for drama or theater OR talk to the teacher and learn more about the program.

12. Change a play or show and give it your own twist. What if Alice didn't follow a rabbit to wonderland but a kangaroo?

13. If you don't like to act in plays then maybe you can find out how you can assist behind the scenes. Complete one of the following: make posters or signs for the play, sew costumes, shop for items, set up the stage, paint backdrops, or make props.

14. Participate in a skit that is unrehearsed and tags off to the next person. Each person only has one line but then the next person has to add to the story. Example: My mom just purchased a car. [next person] She walked into the house and gave me the keys and said Happy Birthday. [next person] Then I ran outside and saw it was a 1972 pickup truck painted orange and purple. [next person] It was my school colors so that was awesome. [Continue until all the people have had a chance.]
