5. A popular tradition in Singapore is Chinese street opera. These operas are based on folk tales and legends, and are very fun to watch because actors wear very colorful costumes and makeup. Another traditional Singaporean art is the Malayan village traditional dances. These dances tell traditional folk stories in the Malayan culture.
