Welcome to Patchwork Designs, Incorporated. We create embroidered patches, patch programs, activity kits, and embroidered merchandise for scouting, schools, historical buildings, museums, organizations, and special events.

   
 


 


 

You may sketch or computerize a graphic for the design of your patch or logo.

  • No art fees.
  • No set fees.
  • Pricing emailed to you includes up to 9 colors of thread on the patch design.
  • 50 piece minimum. Production time varies depending on the time of the year.
  • We can create the patch for you from a sketch, design, or idea you may have for the patch.

If you have an idea or design, use the following steps to submit it to the office.

  1. First decide if you would like a shape or create the patch the shape of the item. This is called "laser cutting". Click on the link to view shapes. choose a shape that best fits your design. 
  2. Choose a size that meets your needs.   For example:  A typical event patch size range is a 2.75" or 3" inch circle or square. Larger patches require more stitches.
  3. Let us know what budget you have in mind for your patch. We can let you know what size or detail we can get on the patch that fits in your budget.
  4. We can choose the colors for you. If you want specific colors, simply state red, teal or bright green.
  5. Choose the backing type and patch background color(twill) and type.
    • pressure sensitive (peel & stick)
    • heat seal (iron-on)
    • PVC (sew-on) Typical backing on most patches.
      There is a slight additional cost for the Pressure Sensitive and iron on backs.
  6. You can submit the idea of the design to us, and our design team will e-mail you pricing for your design.
  7. After the design and all the requirements are submitted, a sales agreement will be emailed to you that outlines the shipping, cost, and delivery time according to the quantity and design.

Warning: Color charts are large graphic files

All patches are allowed nine (9) colors, chosen from our color charts. We offer over 350 thread colors. Please keep in mind that the thread border of your patch needs to be one of your nine colors.

Some of the common color choices (and their coorelating color chart codes) are: green{233}, light green{229}, red{700}, orange{534}, brown{738}, yellow{544}, golden yellow{503}, purple{676}, pink{127}, light pink{104}, royal blue{366}, and light blue{362}.

Along with standard colors, we also have neon, variegted, metallic, glow-in-the dark, and iridescent colors. We have the following types of special threads:

    glow-in-the-dark {white}
    metallic {gold and silver}

  • COLOR CHART 1-6 (pink, red, orange, aqua)
  • COLOR CHART 7-12(green, blue, beige, gray)
  • COLOR CHART 13-18 (gray, yellow, orange, and purple)
  • COLOR CHART 19-22 (brown, tan and varigated)
    Additional .10 per patch for the "glow in the dark", varigated, and metallic threads.
    If you request these threads the pricing will be included in your quote.

You can chose 100% embroidered or twill (fabric) background, and there are over 90 fabric colors to chose from. If  a color is not listed in the color chart.  Please let us know, we may be able to supply a color that is not listed.

We also have satin backgrounds, available in 42 different shades.
(Choosing satin fabric will enhance your design, but will also add additional fees)

There are price adjustments according to how much embroidery is involved.
For example if there was only 50% of the patch covered, the price would be lower than if there was 75% or 100% Embroidered.
