      1. Grenada is a group of 6 islands that form one country.

2. English is the official language of Grenada, however, 
        the main language spoken is either an English-based creole language, or 
        Grenadian Creole French. Grenadian Creole French is also known as Patois.

 3. As in most South American countries, Carnival is one 
        of the most widely celebrated occasions in the country. This time is celebrated 
        with much feasting, singing, dancing, and parades. Parang is a festival 
        that occurs on the weekend before Christmas, and is celebrated over a 
        three day period of singing and dancing. It is very similar to Christmas

5. The pan is a distinctive instrument in Grenada. The pan 
        is a type of drum, and is part of the steel band that is very popular

        are both African influenced. Folk dances are generally happy and very
