The world of magic has been practiced for hundreds of years. Magicians were hired to tell the future through crystal balls or other valuable items. Today we primarily use magic as entertainment and to create an imagination about a magical world. We watch and are fascinated with simple tricks to magnificent illusions and special effects. There are a variety of fairy tales, movies, and books that depict magic and adventures into an wonderful world.

You can earn either the Magical Adventure or Wizarding World of Scouting Patch OR earn both with the below program.

1. Magician/Wizard: Choose a magician or wizard to learn more about. Find out when they practiced magic and a trick they performed. Examples include: Harry Houdini, David Copperfield, Doug Henning, Harry Potter, Penn and Teller.

2. Optical Illusions: An Illusion creates images false perception that there is something actually there or not there. View an optical illusion in a book, art work, movie, television, on the internet,OR at a magic show OR color an optical illusion picture.

3. It's Magic: Watch a magic show on TV or live OR watch a movie that depicts magic. What is your favorite trick or part in the movie or show?

4. Science: Many magicians use science as a way to present tricks or teach about science. Try an experiment OR science activity that feels or seems like magic. You can use our "Experimenting with Science" kit or our Spells and Potions to try. Examples include: Eggs that float, candy flashes, colorful raindrops, create slime, and fun Concoctions.

5. Potions: Through the creation of books and movies, potions have been used to put people to sleep, assist them to fly, or become invisible. Create your own pretend potion in a container, label it, list the ingredients, and determine what it affect it will have on the person that drinks it. List your ingredients uniquely such as grape soda is purple toad juice. Examples of potions: Water and blue drink, (invisibility), fruit punch, gummy worms and lemonade (shape shifter) potion.

6. Magical items: Over the years magical items have assisted magicians, sorcerers, witches, and wizards in completing spells or transforming things. Choose one item and learn what it was used for. Such as brooms, wands, spell books, mirrors, clothing, boxes, stones, hats, and quills.

7. Magical Creatures: Spectacular creatures have been created that can assist in flying, protecting, and healing. Choose one to learn more about and what it looks like: Unicorns, fairy godmother, dragons, mermaids, owls, cats, fairies, nymphs, and elves.

8. Magical Places: Locations around the world are sometimes considered magical or give good luck to those that visit and perform certain tasks. Some are magical due to historical reasons and some are from myths. Learn about OR visit a magical place or attend a magical themed event. Examples include: Castles, The Enchanted Forest, Germany; The Wizarding World of Harry Potter®; Sorcerer's Castle in Switzerland; Cinderella's® castle; and Blarney Stone, Ireland.

9. Books: Read a book relating to story about magic or a magical character. Examples include: Harry Potter®, Aladdin®, Cinderella®, The Chronicles of Narnia ®, and Magic School Bus® and Magic Tree House®.

10. Food: Create or enjoy food representing a magical theme OR create your own candy shop. Examples include: cupcakes with cones on top (represent wizard hats), chocolate frogs, magic wands, (chocolate dipped pretzel rods with sprinkles), potion punch, jelly beans, magic beans, cookies, and a pasta or stew served in a cauldron.

11. Games: Play games or create activities representing a magical theme. Examples include: Wizard hat pass, similar to hot potato; charades; blindfolded taste test; hide dragon eggs; mazes on paper or an obstacle course; water balloon battle, board games, OR a scavenger hunt of magical related items.

12. Displays and Costumes: Create decorations, costumes, a display or diorama with a representing a magical character or storybook theme. Examples include: cauldrons, stars, shiny paper or ribbons for the table or chairs; brooms, wands, princess or wizard costumes; or diorama of a castle.

13. Crafts: Create a craft that represents the magic world or character. Examples: Create tiaras, wizard hats, wands, shields, potion book, castle from a large cardboard box, spider webs, potion containers, or flower wreath.

14. Perform: Act out a play, perform a magic trick, dress up like a character, or create a magical skit.

15. Tricks: Card tricks, disappearing acts, levitating objects, and illusions are just a few of the entertainment possibilities that are performed by magicians. Learn a magic trick, go behind the scenes at a show, research how magic is performed, or watch a magic show or movie where tricks are used.

16. Special Effects: Magicians use music, comedy, animals, and stories to build up the suspense and drama for the finalization of the trick. Movies use graphic art and 3-D effects to make the scenes come alive. See a 3-D movie or a movie with CG [computer graphics], learn more about computer graphics, learn about movie make-up, create your own graphic image of a magical item, watch a magic show or go behind the scenes of a movie or media facility.

1. Plants: Learn about plants that are edible by visiting the grocery store and create a "potion". Make a spell and reason for the potion. Think outside the box use some of the edible leafy items in the grocery store and rename them: lettuce, cabbage, herbs, sunflower seeds, spinach and tea in various flavors. For example: Zigger Zat- One sip helps cure a stomach ailment. You don't have to try the potion just experiment with different items. NEVER USE ITEMS THAT ARE NOT EDIBLE, JUST IN CASE.

2. Flowers: View different types of flowers in a book, go on a nature hunt, visit a garden or area that has a large variety of flowers, or research at least two different flowers that are different colors. For extra, you can find out about exotic flowers that are unique shapes and colors.

3. Grow: Plant a flower from a seed, grow herbs, OR a plant. Water it and help it grow.

4. Herbs: Create something savory using fresh herbs from the store or you grew. Examples: Add rosemary to fried red potatoes, sage to stuffing, oregano to marnina sauce, etc.

5. Create: Create a craft that resembles flowers, uses fake, or real flowers OR decorate a flower pot, make herb signs, or draw/create a picture about flowers/plants.

6. Food: Create or enjoy food representing flowers, plants, or pretend potions OR create your own botany shop. Examples include: cupcakes with flowers on top, green tinted chocolate molded into leaves, green potion punch, green leafy salad with a dressing served in a potion labeled bottle, pizza with mushroom and spinach, artichoke and spinach dip with dried leaves [curved chips] for dipping.

1. Creature Features: Spectacular creatures have been created that can assist in flying, protecting, and healing. Choose one to learn more about and what it looks like: Unicorns, fairy godmother, dragons, mermaids, griffins, owls, cats, fairies, nymphs, and elves.

2. Inspire: Create your own creature on paper. You can use features, special powers, or coloring from other creatures. What is the name of your creature?

3. Design: Sketch out a habitat for a creature or design a castle and chambers where the animal would sleep or live.

4. Crafty: Create a craft, a creature booklet, or color a picture that resembles a creature from a magical land. Examples include: Decorate a dragon egg with a plastic egg, make a Pygmy Puff, fairy, spider, knome, mermaid, or owl.

5. Charm: Choose an animal that you think represents your character or personality. Think of reasons for choosing the charm when you think of that creature does it make you feel brave or smart, etc. Create a good luck charm that represents your animal. You can also write down its character and features for your reference. For example: You like to swim--choose a mermaid. Unicorn, represents strength and unique; and theThe Sphinx is a magical creature that has the head of human, and the body of lion. {intelligence and bravery.}

6. Food: Create or enjoy food representing creatures or wizards. Examples include: cupcakes with wizard hats, fun monster designs with colorful frosting, frogs, or owl cookies/cupcakes.

7. Games: Play a game that has a creature or wizard theme. Examples: "Who Am I" act out the creature or wizard item or pass the stuffed creature [hot potato].

A wizard can not do without their valuable treasures. Their treasures include their accomplishments, hobbies, or jeweled items.

1. Create your own treasure, color a picture of wizard treasures, find out more about magical treasures, learn how to construct a piece of jewelry OR design one on a piece of paper. Where would you wear it or does it have a special power?

2. A spell, potion or creature book is one of a wizard’s most valuable treasure. Make your own wizard book, decorate a blank journal OR create a creature book OR make a quill to use in your book.

3. Participate in a game or tournament with other wizards. Examples: take a scavenger hunt through a maze, collect dragon eggs [plastic eggs hidden], broomstick battle [pushing a small ball from one end to the goal for a point] OR create your own scavenger hunt map to find the treasure at the end of the map.

4. Create your own wizard map of a castle or house. Mark on the map hidden passages, your treasure collection, and specific wizard rooms OR create a map for a scavenger hunt.

5. Wear a cloak, decorate one on paper, or create one of your own using a piece of material to wrap around your neck. You can decorate it with glitter or glow in the dark paint. For extra, mark your cloak with special abilities.

6. Decorate or create a letter of acceptance or golden ticket to get into wizard school, ride a magic train, or go to an event.

7. Find out more about wizard treasures. Pick one item to learn more about. What are they used for and do they have special abilities? Examples: swords, jewelry, brooms, cloaks, clothing, potions, and much more.

8. What would a wizard be without a wand? Create your own wand or use a crafted wand in a spell or potion.

1. View: Watch a wizard movie or show that represents a quest. It could be learning potions, playing games, going through mazes, traveling to wizard school, winning team tournaments, going on an adventure/wizard school OR any other quest like adventure.

2. Castle: Create your own wizard castle on paper, with plastic building blocks, or cardboard; color or paint a wizard castle, complete a puzzle about wizard castles, learn about two different room in the castle, complete an I spy game using wizard items, OR imagine you are in the potion classroom and create a potion or concoction.

3. Broom: Play a game, create a craft, or learn more about what wizards use brooms for OR watch a movie/show using a broom in a magical way.

4. Map: Draw out your own secret wizard map on paper. Include footsteps of where people have been. Create your own quest and draw people or items you would see on your map. Where are you? Examples: castle, forest, train, or your room.

5. Cup : Have a team competition for a golden cup or read a book, watch a movie, complete a maze on paper to capture the cup, go through a maze (this could be a corn maze or other designed mazes) OR watch a show that has wizard games or tournaments.

6. Train: Learn about different magical transportation items that wizards use by reading a book, watching a movie or show OR take a train ride on a quest of your own.

7. Magical Places: Locations around the world are sometimes considered magical or give good luck to those that visit and perform certain tasks. Some are magical due to historical reasons and some are from myths. Create your own quest on paper to visit a magical place or learn more about a magical place OR attend a magical themed event.

8. Magical items: Over the years magical items have assisted wizards in quests for training animals, potions and spells. Choose one item and learn what it was used for. Such as brooms, wands, spell books, maps, suitcases, boxes, stones, hats, and quills.

9. Scavenger Hunt: Use a map or scavenger hunt list and go on a quest. Make a list of items to look for OR have an adult make the list and hide magical things inside or outside. Want to explore more--make it interesting and hunt through a maze, park, campground or backyard.

10. Quest: You’re going on a quest! Design your own quest--choose transportation, etc. Where did you choose to go? It can be anywhere in the world! What transportation will you use? Who will go with you? What items will you bring? What will you be exploring or looking for on your quest?

11. School: You have just been sorted into your wizard house and moved into your dorm room at the Wizarding school. Your quest is to decorate your room according to the school requirements. All students are required to decorate their room according to the colors they have been sorted into. Draw out your room and include personal items, your pet, and don't forget a banner with your house name and add any additional items to make it comfortable.

12. Recipe: Create a recipe for magical cookies, smoothies, color revealing drinks, or trail mix for your next quest. The choice is up to you.

13. Mystery: Go on a quest and participate in a mystery event, escape room, OR solve a mystery using clues, fingerprints, or other evidence by playing a game or solving it on paper or through a book.

Learn more about concoctions and potions used for relaxation, beauty, and calmness. Earn this patch through the concoctions of lip balm, relaxation drinks, lotions, perfumes and relaxing bubble baths.

1. Peaceful Harmony: Create your own pretend relaxation potion similar to the Draught of Peace potion. Examples: Bubble bath crystals, test tasting teas, foot soaks, or sipping your favorite drink or tea. List of your ingredients are uniquely listed in the SPAtacular booklet for activities.

2. Chocolate Delight: Chocolate can be good for stress and face masks are great for antioxidants for your skin. Experiment with chocolate. Create your own chocolate creation, purchase chocolate and have a tasting test, decorate chocolate cupcakes, or make or use chocolate masks or lip gloss.

3.Glittery Glam: Create your own lip gloss or glittery gel. You can create your own concoction of glittery SPAtacular potions or use some of the recipes in the spa booklet. Examples include: Butterybeer lip gloss, fruity whizbees lip gloss, chocolate cauldron lip gloss, glittery gumdrop lip gloss, and magical yule ball body glitter.

4. Facial Expression: Feel like having a magical facial mask that afterward will make your skin feel fresh, clean, and hydrated. Make sure you use a recipe for your skin type. Do you have dry, oily, combination or sensitive skin? Use the SPAtacular handbook to find a concoction that is best for you and your friends.

5. Hair Raising Potions: Purchase potion items that will make your hair more manageable, softer, remove tangles, or relax your curlies. Try it out or use it with your friends. (Use your own conditioner, hair gel or de-tanglers and relabel it for potion.)

6. Rub A Dub Scrub: Create a foot, hand, or body scrub. Scrubs are SPAtacular potions leaving your skin soft and smooth. The sugar and oils in these particular potions also help hydrate and refresh skin. Examples of scrubs in the SPAtacular booklet: Honeybee Sugar Crystal Body Scrub, Lemondrop Crystal Body Scrub, Chocolate Coconut Ice Body Scrub, and Pepperimp Foot Scrub.

Discover the enjoyment of the wizarding world celebration of Christmas.
1. Christmas is a holiday that is celebrated in the winter time of the wizarding world. Over 100 countries celebrate it as well. Learn about one of the traditions from your country or another. Example: Do they hang stockings, make ornaments, or get gifts in their shoes?

2. During the holiday season, everyone makes or enjoys special treats to celebrate. Enjoy some butterbeer, holiday punch, Christmas cookies, chocolate frogs, peppermints, cupcakes, and more OR attend a cookie exchange or holiday party with treats.

3. Traditional music and caroling is a fun way to get into the holiday spirit. Listen to wizarding songs, Christmas tunes, or sing a song of your own.

4. A Christmas tree is cut down and placed in the Great Hall for the Happy Christmas celebration every year. Decorate a tree of your own, make an ornament, or assist someone in decorating their tree or one at a facility or school

5. Sending Christmas cards through the owl post is a very popular activity. Decorate a card for a family member, friend, soldier, or assist younger/older participants in making cards.

6. The holiday feast is held on Christmas day. All professors and wizards are invited to attend. The table is displayed with food like turkey, gravy, cranberry sauce, pudding, potatoes, and peas. As decoration there is a holiday crackers filled with goodies to play with. Fill stockings, crackers, or create little goodies to give to friends OR attend a potluck, feast with friends, or family gathering.

7. Christmas is a time of gift giving and spending time with family and friends. Assist in wrapping presents, going shopping, creating shoeboxes for soldiers or children, attending an ornament or cookie exchange.

8. The Yule Ball and many holiday parties are held during the month of December to join people together. Attend a holiday party, family gathering, ball, dance, or any holiday activity in the month of December. What did you like best about it?

9. Garlands, wreaths, lights, ornaments, paper snowflakes, placemats, candles, photos, and other merry decorations displayed throughout the month. Create a decoration, help decorate a home or tree, make a wreath, exchange ornaments, make a paper chain or any other decoration for the holiday season.

10. Play a game with friends and family. Some examples include: holiday bingo, chess, checkers, or any other fun game.

11. Tis the season for a feeling of magical events, plays, concerts, recitals and nutcrackers. Join in the holiday season and attend a school or group event.

12. Celebrate the gift of giving during the Christmas season by offering kindness to others. Create a card, deliver a gift, help the elderly, adopt a child or soldier OR assist anyone in need.

Students in wizard school study the stars and planets through their telescopes in Astronomy lessons located in the high tower. Discover the enjoyment of the Wizarding world of Astronomy. Learn about planets, constellations, stars, the moon and outerspace. Purchase this patch if you have explored space in school, went to a planetarium or space museum. You can also earn it through the internet, books or any other function involving astronomy or outer space.

1. Discover more about the solar system. Choose one planet to learn more about, such as the color, size, and distance from the sun. For extra make a picture of the solar system.

2. Star patterns are called constellations. Choose a constellation to learn more about. Where it is located and its pattern in the sky. For extra credit draw the pattern on a piece of paper.

3. Learn the definition two vocab astronomy words from your wizard school book. Examples include gravity, orbit, core, crater, solar, eclipse, aurora, observatory, or black hole.

4. Learn how to use a telescope. What did you see when you looked inside?

5. Take a field trip to learn more about astronomy or outer space by visiting a planetarium, air and space museum, or exhibit that is astronomy related.

6. The moon orbits the earth. As it orbits the earth it projects different phases or shapes in the sky. How many days does it take to orbit the earth? For extra, learn more about the moon’s temperature and coloring.

7. What is a shooting star? Create a colorful design on paper.

8. Go star gazing and see if you can find constellations or view the moon. What did you see and what was the shape of the moon?

9. Learn how to read a star map or create one of your own by drawing items on it.

10. Complete your own booklet or study guide about astronomy. You can place pictures, drawings, vocab and lots of other items in it to help you pass your Astronomy OWL exam. 11. Create an art activity that represents astronomy. Lace up constellation cards, solar system poster, constellation design, or a picture you created of outerspace. 12. Create your activity that represents astronomy and helps you with your studies.

1. Use the creative part of your mind and draw out an invention to assist you in daily life or in the wizarding world. You can add colorful patterns or designs to your invention. Give it a name. Examples: self-writing quill, fast sneakers, desk that organizes itself, color changing shirt, OR memory cards that takes notes in class.

2. Play a game from the wizarding world or played in England. Examples: Chess, sixpenny madell, Play the House Points game. (capture squares of territory on paper) (dot to dot game), OR Joke Shop crossword.

3. Complete a puzzle OR a game where you need to unscramble words, find words, fill in words or crossword puzzles.

4. Decode a puzzle using ciphers, mystery codes, secret symbols, and unique codes or numbers to crack the code OR play a mystery or escape game.

5. Play a game that is one of your favorites with your friends and family.

6. The Daily wizard paper has a weekly symbol game. Create a joke or wizard symbol to go in the paper OR try to find the symbols in wizard paper. (example located in booklet)

7. Play the wizarding world game included in the kit. Who won? OR make a game of your own. What is the name of your game? Explain the rules and how many players you need to play.

8. Create an invention that is joke toy, candy, or item. Examples: Canary candy makes you tweet, tea cups that leak, telescopes that box, hats that fly away, hand buzzers, etc.

9. Tell someone a joke or make up a story that has a funny ending. Examples: How do you fix a broken pumpkin? With a pumpkin patch. Which wizard wears the biggest hat? The one with the biggest head.

10. Choose a game to play and put a wizardy twist to it OR take a quiz with a wizard theme. Examples are: hopscotch, (draw wizard symbols in the squares); hot potato (pass around a stuffed owl or other wizard creature or item); cootie catcher (with house colors and wizard items); BINGO with pictures of wizard items in the squares; OR quiz (what house are you? patronus? or type of games you like?).

11. Play a memory game using a wizardy theme. Example: I went to the School of wizards and I saw ...A-amulet, B-books, C-cloak, D-desk or disappearing ink.... take turns with each letter. OR place a variety of things on a tray let them look at it for a minute. Then cover it. See who can write down the most items they saw. Check for results.

12. The jigsaw puzzle was invented in London England by John Spilsbury. Complete a jigsaw puzzle online or from a box.

13. Take a piece of paper colored or plain and write a joke or note to someone. Fold the paper like a paper airplane. Write on the wing who it is to and try to fly the memo to them. Hopefully they will send you a memo back.

14. Complete a maze, I spy or detective theme game, scavenger or treasure hunt with a wizard theme.

15. List some of your favorite items or items you use on a daily basis. How can you create an invention or make it a joke item to sell in the Joke shop?

1. Magical creatures classes are sometimes taught in the forest. Learn about one animal that habitats in the forest. What color is it? What is the size and where does it live? Never disturb a nest or habitat of animal. Create a sketch booklet or draw animals.

2. Identifying animal tracks is one of elements for learning about magical creatures in the forest. Look for animal tracks on a trail with your professor (adult). Never try to track an animal. You can also view tracks in a book or internet. Create a booklet or worksheet of the tracks. Which look similar?

3. Learn more about birds in the forest. You can write down the size, color, special traits and look it up on the computer or refer to our magical creatures booklet. Venture in your own backyard forest to view local birds.

4. Create your own trail mix for your magical forest exploration. What did you place in it? 4. Learn about your patronus animal. Which one did you choose? Examples are: fox, bear, unicorn, deer, bear, dog, otter, horse, rabbit, cat, owl, or dragon.

5. Create a twist on a smore or magical treat and add something different. Name your new creation. What did you change? Example: Cookies and cream chocolate instead of milk chocolate OR add peanut butter.

6. The forest can get dark. Learn how to build a campfire. Have the participants gather small twigs and larger pieces to get the fire built. ONLY an adult should start the fire and maintain it. Show the participants the proper way to put out a fire OR Learn how to use a lantern to light your area or navigate you out of the forest or encase you need to leave the campfire area.

7. Create a craft that relates to the forest. It can be an animal craft, wand, flower related, fairy, or a magical drawing of the forest. The choice is up to you.

8. Attend a forest exploration event, magical encampment, or any event that is forestry related.

9. There are a variety of fairies that can be found throughout the forest. Fairies live near the area that they care for and easily camouflage with their surroundings. Night Fairies are said to be the prettiest fairies of all. They come out at night and collect the "star dust" from the sky so they can fly, also know as "fairy dust". Sprites are small nature fairies. Learn about one fairy/sprite or draw out what you think it would look like. View books or websites for images of forest fairies and sprites. Examples: flower fairies, night fairy, water fairy, earth fairy, rainbow sprite or winter sprite.

10. Unicorns live in forests where there are plenty of food for them to eat. The trees offer them shelter and help them to hide. Unicorn hair and horn dust are used for magical potions. Fairies are their friends. Learn more about unicorns. What do they eat, footprint and what they look like.

11. Get to know your forest trees. Identify 3 different leaves or pine needles. Draw or trace them in your nature book. Use our Leaf identification found in the kit for assistance.

12. Magical wands are made from strong forest wood and magical items. Design your own wand on paper. What wood and magical item did you use? Examples: cherry, willow, walnut, cypress, maple, oak and more. Magical items include phoenix feather, unicorn hair, dragon scale, or fairy dust.

13. Learn how to navigate yourself in the forest. Use a compass or map. To ensure you don't get lost make sure you follow a proper trail or marked area. (for extra design your own forest map)

14. Explore the magical forest by completing a scavenger hunt outdoors. Examples: Find two different trees, tracks, flower, pine cone, spider, rocks, insect, acorn, and a trail.

15. Herbs or flowers are located on the edge or in the forest to create potions. Learn about 1 herb or flower available in the forest. Examples: wormwood, toadstool, dittany, valerian, bitterroot. Refer to our herbology book to learn more about magical herbs and flowers.

16. Complete an outdoor forestry activity of your choice. This can be a craft, food item, or any creative item of your choice.

1. Art is an elective class taught in wizard school. Discover more about the color wheel. What are primary and secondary colors? For extra, create a color wheel.

2. An artistic medium refers to the material used to create a work of art. Special tools and supplies are needed for each medium used. When art is displayed in a gallery it has the name of the art, artist, and the medium used. Examples for drawings can be colored pencils, crayons, markers, pastels, chalk, charcoal, or ink. Paint with acrylic, oil, or watercolors. Choose a medium listed above and create a painting or drawing, name it, and list the medium used.

3. As you create art you learn about colors, shapes, planning, trying out new things, balance, expressing yourself and making choices. Create something artistic. Examples: scrapbooking, origami, drawing, poem, story, design a patch, mosaic, pottery, sculpture, and more.

4. Architecture Art is constructing and designing buildings, structures or interior design of the house. Draw or design a wizard building or shop, castle, school, stone bridge, fireplace, great hall, library, boathouse, or re-design your room on paper.

5. Decorative Art is creating items or objects into beautiful items. Example: mosaic, rugs, pottery, fashion, furniture, and more. Create or design a decorative art item. Examples: , tapestry, mirror of erised, trophy. lamp, armoury, clock, goblet, curtain, and desk.

6. Visual Art is art that created to view visually such as drawing, painting, sculpture, printmaking, photography, or scrapbooking. Create a visual art item. Examples: wanted poster, golden statue, magical portraits, books and photos.

7. Literature Art is written creative work. Examples are poetry, dramatic story, stories, journal, essay and scripts. Create a literature art item.

8. Some graphic art examples are calligraphy, animation, logos, computer graphics, magazine covers, postcards, patches, posters, and printed materials. Create or design a graphic art item on paper or computer OR watch a video, show OR movie that uses graphic art.

9. Performing Arts include music, theater, and dance. These arts are usually performed for an audience and are a form of entertainment. Examples: Choir or band at school, theater show or play, or dance recital. Watch a performing art or participate in one.

10. Complete your own art booklet or sketch pad of artwork. You can sketch, glue visual or graphic art items inside, create drawings, add photos and lots of other items in it to express your personal interests of art.

11. Plastic arts are art forms which involve physical manipulation of molding, carved or shaped, such as stone or wood, concrete, clay, glass, or metal. Examples: Plastic bead art or jewelry, ceramics, glass blowing, wood carvings, and more. Create a plastic art item or watch one being created.

12. Watch a video, movie, or show that represents a form of art. Example: glass blowing, Blown Away; painting, Joy of Painting; fashion, Making the Cut; project Runway: paper and wood crafts, OR Making it.

13. Use your artistic skills and create desserts, food or drinks with a colorful or artistic theme. Examples include: rainbow Jello, art palette cookies, cookies with colored candies; milkshakes, and colorful fruit cups.

14. Attend an art themed event, art party, museum, art show OR host an art themed activity or party.

15. Colors of crayons, paints, fabrics and more have unique names to show the unique mixture or to rename a color in a interesting way. Choose 5 colors and rename them an interesting name. Examples: Black cauldron, butterbeer yellow, broomstick brown, wild watermelon, magic mint, chocolate frog, polyjuice green, bubble bath pink , acid pop red, or yule ball blue.

16. Pop Art is an art movement that started in the USA and United Kingdom. Art was inspired by comic books, advertisements and food product labels. Andy Warhol created pop art by using vibrant complementary colors in each section of the grid in his art piece. He always used items in his creations that he admired or liked. Each section background is a different color. Create your own pop art of something you like.

17. You can have a better visual view of your art when you use colors on the color wheel that blend well together. Complementary Colors are colors that are opposite of each other on the color wheel. Monochromatic Colors is using the lighter and darker shades of one color. Other groupings are Analogous Colors, Triadic Colors, and Tetradic colors. Use one of these groupings the next time you paint or color a picture.

18. Learn more about a magical item that is artistically created. Sketch the item out on paper. Examples: winged keys, mirrors, pensieve, wands, cloaks, lockets, jewelry, time turner, maps, sword, stones, and goblets.
