BEGIN
YOUR PROJECT AND ASSIST CHILDREN DURING THIS SEASON.
Step
1: Tell your group about the project Operation
Christmas Child and how it brings joy and hope to children
in desperate situations around the world through gift-filled
shoe boxes and the Good News of God’s love.
Step
2: Order you FREE brochures, videos, DVD's, posters, and
stickers. Each Operation Christmas Child brochure
is a complete "How to Pack a Shoe Box". You will need one
brochure for each person planning to fill a shoe box.
The
Operation Christmas Child video/DVD shows how your shoebox
can touch lives.

may also be able to receive these items at your local church
for FREE.
Step
3: Find an empty shoe box or ask local shoe
stores for donations of boxes. You may also use a similarly
sized plastic storage container with a removable lid.

4: Choose a gender
and age to shop for. GIRL---2-4 years old,
GIRL --5-9 years, old, GIRL--10-14 years old, BOY---2-4 years
old, BOY --5-9 years old, or a BOY--10-14 years old.
Step
5: Fill your box with items for your Christmas
Child. Save your receipt this is a tax deductiable project
for your family or group.
Step
6: Include a photo and/or note of
yourself or group that is completing the shoebox Christmas
cards can also be included.
Step
7: (Optional) Wrap your shoebox in gift wrap making sure
that you wrap the lid and bottom part separately.
Step
8: Place a rubberband around your box to
ensure that the lid doesn't come off. Place the proper GENDER/AGE
tag on the top of your box.
Step
9: There is a Shipping FEE per box suggested donation
for postage overseas. Please note not only is this for postage
but to also assist the children overseas. There is a tear
off envelope on each flyer to donate. Therefore, they can
use there receipt for the items purchased, a copy of their
check made payable to Samaritan's Purse, attach it to the
remainder pamplet to show for a TAX DEDUCTION.

If
your family OR GROUP is creating more than one shoebox, you
can write only one check for all the shoeboxes you completed.

10: Drop your completed shoebox off at
local collection area during the collection week of November
15-22. Some churches ofr facilities may be accepting them
earlier.

11: If you would like a
participation patch Call Samaritan's
Purse Donor Ministry Department with your Troop # or name
of your organization and they will send you OCC patches for
A DONATION.

12: (Optional) Volunteer
at collection centers, process centers, and area teams.

Does this project cover one of the blue angel projects?
A:
Yes, it covers the gift box symbol that is located on the
patch.
Q:
What will happen to the shoeboxes I collect?
A: The shoeboxes will be delivered to children in a variety
of countries.
Q: What if i miss the deadline for the collection ?
A: National collection week is in November, but you may send
completed boxes year-round to our headquarters:
