Scouts on Broadway Patches are available for $3.00 per patch and availability will be confirmed upon request.

Matilda, is the story of a very bright and rebellious little girl, with special powers. Matilda's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Wormwood, have no time for her and treat her as a nuisance. She spends most of her time reading books from the library astonishingly quickly, whilst they watch the telly and Mr. Wormwood sells dodgy used cars. At school things are no better as despite the care and support of her teacher, the lovely Miss Honey, Matilda has to contend with the terrifying headmistress Miss Trunchbull who rules the school with cruelty and fear. Matilda fights against the injustices at home and at school. Eventually she decides the grown-ups should be taught a lesson and in the process discovers her supernatural powers Matilda and Girl Scouts have the same core values; the story and workshop will resonate greatly with Girls of all ages, who are looking to find their own identities, and fit into a society that sometimes thinks children should be heard and not seen, while finding their unique "supernatural powers" in this world. It also speaks to the very topical issues of bullying and discrimination, both from adults and from other children and how young people all over the world have to stand up to injustice and learn how to overcome a myriad of social, political and cultural minefields. The Girl Scout Mission of: "It's Your Story: Tell It!" connects to the mission that StudentsLive will bring to the show by asking Girls to participate in the outcome of Matilda while empowering its' audience to be courageous, confident and do good deeds.
