Have
a dance or an event. Decorations could include participants
decorating their own star, a doorway with a vine of roses
in vibrant colors around the outside or even a red carpet
[red felt works best]. [Vines of roses can be found at local
craft or dollar stores]
If
you are creating the event for a large group you could tape
the stars on the wall near their table for decoration. Personal
touch yet very festive. Each group could receive one star
template for them to use as a pattern for the decoration.
If using glitter, we suggest glitter glue not glitter, glitter
could be messy for clean up after the event.
For
extra, participants can make tissue paper flowers for decorations
around the dance or the photo area.
Attire:
For this event you can wear a nice dress, fancy hair (rhinestones,
flower wreath (template vailable in the Magical Fairy/Faery
kit) flowers, ribbon), jewels (earrings, necklaces, bracelets)--anything
for your night with your wonderful evening!
Refreshments:
Festive tablecloths in various or all the same colors (red,
pink, blue, yellow, orange, purple) should be used to cover
the table. Place a plastic basket lined with colorful or floral
napkins of chocolates (be aware of allergies!), cookies, and/or
candies on each table with fake flowers or petals layed across
the table. Water bottles can be placed on each table with
moon or star stickers on them. Use a piece of cardstock folded
over to place on each table with the name of the group.
Extra:
Take photos of each group or if it is a parent/daughter event
take pictures of couples. A backdrop could be a black sheet
with stars attached to it. You can also stamp flowers or metallic
swirls on the fabric as well or stencil the lettering "Enchanted
Evening" on the backdrop. You could also have a castle
or other various items (swirls, nice chairs, etc.) and/or
have the child hold flowers. Child sits on stool and parent
stands.
